The Livorno Central Train Station is located some distance from the city centre and the Port. It is recommended therefore to travel by local bus or taxi to those locations. Bus service is available directly in front of the train tation.
Frequent and direct rail service runs from Livorno to Pisa and up the coast to Genoa. Train service also operates from Livorno to Civitaveccia and then on to Rome. To travel to Florence, passengers normally need to transfer in Pisa.
